Israel at 60!
Thursday, May 8, 2008, is Yom HaAtzma'ut, the 60th anniversary of Israeli Independence. We at Congregation Beth Israel join Jews around the world in celebrating Israel's 60th birthday with the following:
Thursday, May 8 - Birthday Breakfast, following shacharit (services start at 6:40 am).
Saturday, May 24 - Shabbat Chazak luncheon, with special guest lecturer Rabbi Avi Boswich. Divrei Torah dedicated to 60 years of Israeli Independence.
